fun, busy week

last thursday my aunt and her family came in from minnesota. it was a so fun to see them and V loved hanging out with her cousin Tanner for the whole week. friday we all braved the heat and headed to kemah. it was soooooo HOT! the kids played in the water and we rode the train to try and cool off some. despite the weather we still had a good time and the food was awesome. saturday we went to galveston for the day. i was surprised how big the waves were! last year when we went to the beach V didn't really get in the water much so i was shocked when she was so willing to jump and play in it. it was alot of fun this year! when we got home from the beach we had planned a little birthday party for Tanner and V since they both have august birthdays...we thought it would be nice to be able to celebrate both of them while all the family was in town. V got an awesome hannah montana guitar from uncle mike and aunt susan. she was being shy and wouldn't play it for anyone but when we got home she rocked out. now she wants me to buy her a h.m. wig so she can be h.m. for halloween...lol. on monday, we went to schlitterbahn...it was alot fun. i think it is cool that you don't have to pay for parking and that you can bring in your own food and drinks. my only complaint is that they need to make more pink floats with the net bottom for the little kids! we searched that park the whole time and couldn't get one...nobody would give theirs up. i was exhausted by the end of the week...lol...but it was so worth it for Tanner and V to be able to spend so much time together!!! here are some pics from the beach...
