then Mrs. N invited us over to look at all her beautiful flowers. she even picked some for V to have...
so sunday i thought it would be fun to go to walmart and let V pick out some flowers for us to plant. we get to walmart and i showed her the colorful flowers and told her she could pick out any two that she liked. a simple process that i thought would take a maximum of 2 minutes took almost 10...lol. she would run around the flowers and choose one...and then when i started putting it in the cart she would yell NO NO NO...i don't want that one anymore. well she finally settled on some pink and white ones. after the flowers were picked we went inside and bought some seeds to plant along with some fertilizer and three flowering beds. with all the supplies bought we headed home to start planting. while we were outside planting the flowers it dawned on me....i am 27 years old and i don't ever remember planting a plant...lol. seriously, i have watched people do it but i have never gotten my hands dirty and did it myself! all i kept thinking was...am i doing this right?! after the flowers were planted V went and got her watering bucket to water the plants (her favorite part). she started pouring the water on the flowers and after a few seconds she looked at me and said in a concerned voice...they aren't growing?! i then had to explain to her that it would take some time and that she had to water them everyday and they would grow big. she seemed a little disappointed about that...lol. hopefully our little flowers will grow!
